SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBS) Firefighters rescued the man in about half an hour.
A professional tree trimmer was rescued Thursday after he became stranded in a palm tree, a fire official said.
The man was reportedly stuck about 25 feet up in the tree at 8:26 a.m. near 225 E. 31st St., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Firefighters got the man, who saved from falling by his protective harness, down in about a half hour, he said.
Paramedics took him to a hospital for examination. He was "conscious and alert" and in fair condition, Humphrey said
