WHITTIER - A tree trimmer who got stuck in a 40-foot palm tree was freed by firefighters and taken to a local hospital on Monday.
The man, identified only as an 30-year-old, was trapped under the fronds which was constricting his breathing, said County Fire Inspector Frank Garrido.
Firefighters got a call about a person trapped at 1:10 p.m. in the 13100 block of Anola Street.
He said firefighters used an aerial ladder with a platform basket in the rescue which ended at 2:15 p.m.
Garrido said the man didn't have any major trauma
