lowfi training vid
this weeks vid is for the treebuzz crew and a unlisted video.
Big shout out to the Rockett Brothers for making this happen
SRT !!!
cheers Ben.
Stihl watching it Ben but it looks like you're doing some SRT in a cottonwood tree. Good deal man. A little Ray Rockett and Levi Rockett in there too. I'll keep watching.

Until then, here's a sappy country tune about a cottonwood tree. Well, it might not be about the tree but it mentions it a lot :)

I've been watching your vids and waiting for the changeover but I still see one too many legs of rope in the frame!

It was a pleasure to meet you. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to our little corner of the world.

Well I did film Ray giving me permission to use his likeness and I don't remember promising any royalties so...
unfortunately Levi had to head off but Ray was kind enough to spend time in the canopy as an unpaid instructor so a good deal for me maybe not so much for him :D
and yes that is one sappy tune.

Fair call Ray, I don't want you to think the time wasn't well spent and it was a pleasure to met you as well as cruise in the jeep ( nicely set up too folks) hope I get to return the hospitality one day. (y)

Are you still state side Ben or back home?
Back home now Frank but been looking at the recent spate of jobs going in Denver area and probably would have been better off staying for longer ( if I could have wangled the visa side) but then again I have encountered the hybrid cottonwood with Levi and that prob reaffirmed my love of Eucs rather strongly too.
(seriously what a piece of filth of a tree- who in their right mind thought crossing a poplar with a cottonwood was a good idea?)

Did you get a mechanical while you were here, save a little shipping costs lol. We do have some interesting trees over here for sure, board englishman 200+ years ago lol. How are those Euc trees, they always look a little brittle when I watch your vids. They seem to snap pretty easy when your cuts are done. Well that or you are just that good. :birra:

no tried to sway the sales reps at the booths but no one wanted to part with the goodies.
Ray gave me a shot on the bulldog bone that was very nice piece of kit and he could change on/off the rope so fast I had to ask him to slow down so I could see it.
a lot of Eucs are brittle yes but also have interesting tear actions and about all the timbers are heavy.
