figure 8 with friction hitch

can somebody post pictures showing how to set up a figure 8 along with a friction hitch for decending. the friction hitch is a martin and my saddle is a glide. i am wondering if there is a convient way to attach the figure 8 above the friction hitch, or if it has to be below.

I guess what i am looking of is a convient way to reduce the heat on my frinction hitch while climbing DRT, and I want to change my system as little as possible.
Example, I am 40 feet up and finish my pruning, what can I do (quicky) so that I can decent with less friction on my hitch.
As far as the munter hitch goes, how do you attach it to the Glide and still have it be confy? I have not figured that on out yet.

EMR, if you are using a heat-resistant covered prusik, don't worry too much. If you still want to add something simple, carry a small strap and hms krab. Before you descend add a wrap or two on the krab above the hitch. Or add a meunter for more friction. This will allow for you to descend with maximum security because you won't have to transfer over to a new system and you can operate it as you always do- even with one hand.

That is one thing I was wondering, but never asked...it is ok to use a sling and get a biner above the friction hitch? Are there any possible dangers doing it this way?

Another simple method is to place your feet on the tail of the line as if you were going to footlock the tail. Let your feet create enough friction so that, as you descend, there is almost no friction on your friction hitch.

That is what I have been doing, but I like playing with toys and new techniques. WOW, its less than an hour before New Years and Im sitting infront of the computer, what a dork, oh well I going to bed. Happy New Year to all.
