I guess what i am looking of is a convient way to reduce the heat on my frinction hitch while climbing DRT, and I want to change my system as little as possible.
Example, I am 40 feet up and finish my pruning, what can I do (quicky) so that I can decent with less friction on my hitch.

Another simple method is to place your feet on the tail of the line as if you were going to footlock the tail. Let your feet create enough friction so that, as you descend, there is almost no friction on your friction hitch.
