Favorite rigging bag and why

I don't have a ton of rigging gear, just enough for weekend odd jobs but this holds everything.

150ft of double braid
150ft of 3 strand
80ft of 3 strand
Block and 15ft sling
Port-a-wrap and 18ft sling
Speedline slings
Come-a-longs

Made with heavy duty vinyl, heavy duty zippers, and reinforced stitching. It was free, which is why it's my favourite.

Also have this rope bag with shoulder straps for extra whatever. It'll hold ~350ft of rope

Absolutely my favorite rigging bag. This is my light duty bag. Holds 200' of 1/2". Afb, rig n wrench, rock pulley and sling. Multiple rigging ring set ups. Set of fours, 12 slings with steel biners and some other misc stuff. Sturdy. Good carrying set up either by hand or back pack style. Lays fairly flat compared to round bags. Stylish yet functional. Heavy bag is vinyl rope bag with 200' 3/4 stein RC 1000, beast ring whoppie, beast double ring sling, whoppie and strap for stein. Strong bag with good construction.

Conterra makes my trauma pack I ski patrol with. Pretty tough stuff, have not been able to destroy it yet. Has comforted many injured folks as a pillow on their sled ride to the abulance at the bottom of the mountain.

I also have that treestuff rope bucket, love it. I use it for my climbing line. Rope runner, haas, pantin and a few other items live in there when not saving the world one tree at a time.

I have four sherril rope bags for rigging. They have not lasted that well. I regularly toss them from the air full of rope through canopies. One exploded on impact. Can't blame them too much as they were probably not designed for that.

All my rope bags, rigging and climbing go nicely into two kobalt plastic tool totes from lowes
We have one for rigging and one for climbing. Sweet when we have to move all the gear to remote sites, like on a boat or snow cat. We got a snowcat ride to the top of a mountain a few weeks ago to take some trees out leaning on the lines.

I have two of the Metolius bags for climbing set ups (srt and ddrt). I think I'll probably just buy a quarter or half dome and be good to go.

I got the Reach bag Steve has, great bag for gear. I also have several rope buckets, several duffel bags and lately I have been using $7.00 flexible laudry bags from Walmart for rigging ropes. I also have a folding wagon for wheeling stuff when needed and a plastic sled for those snow covered trips.

Your right Steve, I am worse than you, lol.

I bought a half dozen large DeWalt tool bags on eBay for about $100. Zippered & framed opening, pockets inside and out, shoulder strap for when you need it, and reinforced bottoms so sliding around my pickup bed won't wear 'em out.

I use a 150' Weaver rope bag for my spider legs, xrrs, blocks, etc.
In the truck Rubbermaid tote we keep porti on a whoopie, b&t, other heavy slings.
We keep our rigging lines each in there own bag.

Long rigging ropes go in rope bags, but that Home Depot link has me rethinking that tack for future additions. My climbing and other 1/2" ropes that are no longer than 200' go into Ace Hardware 5-gallon buckets with labeled lids ... keeps 'em dry in the bed of my pickup.
