EDMONTON - A 34-year-old woman was killed Wednesday after a tree fell on her near Evansburg.
She was on a Lake Isle acreage, cutting down trees on the private property with other employees of a tree felling company, when she was struck by a falling tree shortly after 12:30 p.m., Occupational Health and Safety said.
She died on scene, RCMP said. Few details have been released.
Occupational Health and Safety and the RCMP are investigating.
