Hope ya'll enjoy this slide show from a few spots around Seattle this week.

Some of the macro shots are cropped to magnify the image at least 4-5 times....in other words, the image width would be as small as about 8 mm....

I find it interesting that the water drops only bead and stay on the underside of leaves. All the leaves that had fallen front side up were bone dry. I assume only the topsides absorb water. Not the first time I've noticed this.

Images shot with a Canon 5D Mk ll, full frame 21 mp sensor, and a 17-40 f/4 wide angle lens. The macro shots are with a Canon 100mm IS macro. The image stabilization allows for some danged slow shutter speeds. some at 1/40th second. Amazingly sharp lens!

Thanks Roger!

I especially liked the water droplet caught on the leaf tip!

Fall color is another thing that my heart pines for...brown and more brown are the fall colors in Austin.
