I'm thinking they should've anticipated that as a possible outcome.

Way back I pulled a 45" Tulip into some woods, the cut was finished and I was persuading it with a 5:1. 80' tree after topping, still had forks like the one in the video. I was 50' from where the top hit and the 10" anchor tree where I was standing was almost completely taken down buy BIG flying wood from those forks, looked like an artillery strike. If I'd stayed put I would be nothing but a smear.
