Ergolite Spartan Harness

Hi Guys,

Picked up this harness last year and used it a few times after trying a friends Ergolite and liked it. I just tried it on again today because it bothers me that a $400 harness is just sitting around but it just digs in to my hips to the point where it is unbearable. I have adjusted it several times but can't seem to find a position that is comfortable. Does anyone else have issues with this?

I currently climb in a treemotion lite and love how it feels, the only downside to it is that it does not have buckles and can be a pain to get on sometimes especially in the winter when you are geared up in winter clothes.

I ran a ergolite for years and never had that issue. Are you overweight ? Skinny ? Tall? Short? Do you have the correct size harness ?

Apart from that, you can set the adjustment buckles so it sits lower or higher on your hips

I've tried all sorts of adjustments.. It seems as if the D's are too far forward and therefore crushing my hips when using it. Almost looks like when tied in the d's are trying to come together in the middle as if they were trying to touch each other if that makes sense. I am 172 lbs 5'11 so I guess average. I tried a medium at first and was too big so sent it back for a small. The small fits better around the waist but brutal on the hips.

Are you using the D's for your lanyard? My D's don't come anywhere close to touching each other ...
