End splice for amsteel blue

Is there instructions for a termination end on this rope as opposed to whipping to keep it from freying?

Mark, go to samson.com, look for "splicing instructions" on the lower left of the homeage. Page down to "12-strand", click on "whoopie sling Amsteel Blue", go to page 3 and use the back splice instructions. Being a 12 strand splicer, it will be cake for you. No need to stitch it.

All my crane slings have about 2" of black electrical tape on the ends. Then I do a spiral lock stitch to prevent the end from unraveling for the 2". It works and the end is the same diameter so it doesn't interfere with tying and untying knots. Haven't had 1 come undone yet and I've been doing it for 4-5 years
I can post a pic as soon as I get my laptop back from the repairman, if interested.

A back splice will be kinda clunky. Whipping it would be more streamlined. Just a tape/melt job would be better, too, in my opinion.

ps- let us see what you come up with!

Here are the slings with the spiral splice. It helps when tying hitches. The all black 1 (2nd from the right) is spiral stitched then dipped in a product called "liquid tape" I purchased at Home Depot.
Like I said, I have been doing this for 5 years and you can see they are all still intact.

Well I did a couple end splices. They were fun but I think I will do the dip like norms. It looks so much better. Thanks all.
