Can any of you guys who have used this rope speak on your pros and cons?
I hear it's hard to splice so I assume it's got a tight cover??
How did it compare to other 24strand ropes that you've used before?
The only 24 strand I've had as climbing rope is Samson velocity and I do like it but id like something thicker, tighter cover, and I don't mind the stretch but I'd like to try a straight poly core with a poly or anything but nylon cover.
I hear it's very light too which is always great.
I started with 16 and 12 strand ropes then went to kermantle which I love but I always loved the knotability and feel of 24 strands but always thought they weren't durable enough because I used to always climb MRS on natural crotches. Now im mostly SRS and if not I can just make up a friction saver if I go MRS so I got velocity and at first I wasn't thrilled but now that it's broke in and I'm used to it I love it....wish the cover was tighter though.
