Easier Cordage to splice

I have looked high and low all over the internet trying to find a list of easily spliced cordage (by type) and thought I would see what the experts have to say. I know in general some constructions are easier than others (3 strand vs 16 strand etc)

What's your "easiest" and "hardest" 16 strand splices? 24 strand? Prussik Cord?

PRE lock stitching picture for attention!

I think the easiest is 12 strand hollow braid, not one that you mentioned. Also Prusik cord is usually of a kernmantel construction, which isn't usually spliced. Three strand is also easy but doesn't look as nice with the short ends sticking out. Your splices look nice with good tapering.

My vote for easiest 24 strand is Samson Velocity.

Enough "Im new to splicing and tried to splice used Tachyon and it was a disaster" style posts around here ended with Velocity as a recommendation for beginners, so I started there.

It was good advice - cover is relaxed, I can't imagine anything easier.

all of the rigging lines are very easy to splice. but easiest is def tenex, and you can make some of the most useful things out of tenex. I love having gobs of loopies in my gear bag. or single eye slings from 4' to 25' are supper helpful. Once you start building tenex tools you'll catch the splicing bug and want to splice everything, including your boot laces, throwline, window blinds, girlfriend's hair, tire swings, etc.

Very addictive, and you can easily turn into a superior splicing snob, as I did, looking down on those poor wretches that don't splice.....uh oh, I better go some meetings again.

Already have gotten the bug, have a bunch of tenex stuff spliced up, I was just looking to branch out into some of the cooler accessory kind of things. Thimble prussiks, prussiks on pulleys, friction savers, etc
