Drum verse Disk

I have looked at the 290's but they all seam to be beat. I am looking more in the price range of 12K to try and get something that will need little or no work. I will look into the 290's a little more. They chip 12" wood pretty good?

My first chipper was a Morbark 290 and they are a diehard chipper, as long as you keep the knives sharp and the anvil adjusted there good to go. Ours had the cummins 4b fires and as long as the maintenance is done on them the will last. Another option is check bandits web site the always seem to have there refurbished chippers at a decent price. We just picked up a 1890 from them on Monday that they had gone through.

Cheers

Thats looks like a decent chipper. I agree though, it could use a professional paint job. What do you think it weighs? It has a 130 HP engine. That is a plus.

Both nice units. I agree with CreTree--the 200 looks better.

I would be willing to bet there isn't 500lbs between them.

CreTree that one looks real good. I like the price of it too. I am going to call them and try and go and check it out. I think that would work good for me.

You'll like the 150/200 series. I have a 1995 150xp. Got it this year with 650 hours. Thing chips like mad! As mentioned, keep knives sharp and anvil gap tight. My Isuzu NQR (4cyl diesel) will pull the chipper and 12yds of chip with ease. Slow going up hill...
