Does anyone know this knot and what is it called? I was shown this by a colleague.View attachment 62203View attachment 62204
midline is the only way I know it.Can that be performed midline? Hmmmm
I can, but probably not before monday. Can you break down how to tie it?
No, there are two fixed loops, just like an alpine butterfly.Wait... are the loops like a friction hitch (adjustable)? It looks like a Farramond Hitch, but I thought there were 3 wraps on either side... hmm.... I have to stop looking at this. It's making my brain hurt.
Or wait for the animatedknots video, I sent the a video on how to do it.Can you break down how to tie it?
Also a perfect 3-leg spider rig point without hardware. I like this, a lot.Not saying it's a super useful knot...
Yes, completely stable, haven't done any testing though. The friend that showed me also thinks it's acceptable for life support using any of the loops or ends. He is more qualified than I am too. Also a perfect 3-leg spider rig point without hardware. I like this, a lot.
Are you sure it won't spill when pulled in any of the 6 directions? (main line up/down, left up/down, and right up/down)
