Don Blair's Rigging Book

Don Blair\'s Rigging Book

A few years back after his 'Arborists Equipment' came out, I'm sure Don Blair was going to write a book on rigging, does anyone know if he ever got round to it?

There were many great little anecdotal stories
in Arborist's Equipment, like the 200ft native American Indian footlock bet. Was looking forawrd to more of the same. Pity.

I suppose a top quality rigging book is being worked on by someone somewhere as we speak......surely?

Re: Don Blair\'s Rigging Book

I spoke with Don Blair about this last year and he said that after the first book came out, he was going to do a book about rigging, but since he had done the NAA (now TCIA) Rigging for Removal workbook and 2 videos he decided not to do it.

Its too bad because like you said his writing style was so good that I think we were all looking forward to his next piece of work.

I really hope that someone does come out with a top quality rigging book with background stories on the people as well as the work.

Re: Don Blair\'s Rigging Book

Tom this is very true, and I do have that book and love it, but what I am thinking is a rigging book that also goes into the worker's background and experiences in the tree care industry.

Re: Don Blair\'s Rigging Book

Bull, he's working on his next dvd series on rigging which will be out late this year, but you're right, another book by Gerry would be great!
