DMM Impact Block testing

Just finished editing the video of the testing we did of DMM's new Impact Blocks.

I think it's safe to say that in the course of the three days we took them where few other have been! Watch some of the torsional loading going on in the video... not many blocks would stand that kind of abuse. These came out of the week unscathed - not even the surface coating had been damaged!

You can watch it under this link:

BTW, how can you embed video in your posts?

Regards,

Mark.

Very nice Mark. I am going to have a lot of fun trying to make those "pretty" blocks look "tougher".

I've still got some of that leftover white-red cordage that you guys gave me after the Providence workshop... Didn't realize it was that strong!

...Nice video!

double drool Luke....you better have me on the express email when you get those, All I need is the smaller one, the one they were using in the test, if it was handling that stuff??? i cannot imagine what the big boy could do! YIKES!

i wish there was a like button for comments. the archdruid's comment was hilarious!

Did you do any figuring on the weight and load being applied to the block? It looks like a good size piece but just how much did it way and how much force was the block seeing? Looks like you were abusing it pretty good...they are very modern looking blocks...if the price is reasonable I might buy one just to hang up in my garage.
