Dinosaur Hemlock of Oswald Park

Felt like posting something recreational since it's the holiday weekend.

Man ... once again I realize why I like the north Oregon coast forest so much. Washington has some of this cool stuff too.

Took our grandson off the beaten path at Oswald West State Park today to take a look at some of the trees. The one below reminds me so much of a dinosaur. Now aside from sheer size, this tree stacks up to most redwoods as far as "primeval" goes.

Found some cool salamanders with teeny legs too.
