CATAWBA CO., N.C. -- Deputies in Catawba County said a man died after a tree fell on top of him.
Deputies said the man was clearing brush in a wooded area when the tree crushed him.
Someone found the man Sunday afternoon off Morgan Road, near Grace Church Road.
Officers said the man's wife reported him missing on Friday, but it's unclear when the accident happened.
Deputies have not released the victim's name.
