DELETED

That's awful news.

The other day I was growing for my two climbers. It is something I normally don't do. But, while I was doing this I noticed something. We have a good habit of yelling out, "Stand Clear!" Then, we have a good habit of yelling back, "All Clear!" However, I noticed I shouted out, "All clear" thinking only for my safety. It made me think of ignorant customers walking into a drop zone unknowingly. I made it a point to let the guys know that we need to look out for others as well as our selves before we yell, "All clear!"

The first story makes you wonder if they were using some sort of communication system. Because the story doesn't include that they did, it makes you wonder if this gentleman's death could have been avoided.

It's important to set up the work zone before work commences and then "own the zone". Communication is the key in all aspects of life. I bet it would've made a difference here.
