lol trees what do you mean? I’d rather have 1 pulley to do trees than a couple! Plus my boss doesn’t use 5/8s either 1/2 or 3/4 inchWhat ya plan on rigging with all that?
Yeah that would be nice I’ll check on eBay right now! But also hoping someone will respond like you said.A bunch of us on here caught wind of Buckingham selling off some of the large ISC blocks dirty cheap on eBay a few months back. Maybe someone will thin their herd.
That’s some heavy duty stuff!!!! Rarely does the 5/8” even ever come out of the truck for me.lol trees what do you mean? I’d rather have 1 pulley to do trees than a couple! Plus my boss doesn’t use 5/8s either 1/2 or 3/4 inch
Yeah I feel ya but my boss doesn’t use double braid ropes.. so your half inch double braid is probably very close to our 3/4 inch 3 strand. That’s some heavy duty stuff!!!! Rarely does the 5/8” even ever come out of the truck for me.
Ha! And here I thought my boss was old skoolYeah I feel ya but my boss doesn’t use double braid ropes.. so your half inch double braid is probably very close to our 3/4 inch 3 strand.
I use double braid but I’m looking for 1 for work. I also use ring slings. My boss will pay me back if I find him 1
Right.. some of these old timers you can’t just get them to change there ways! But I am slowly and I mean very very slowly! LmaoHa! And here I thought my boss was old skool
It's cheap and the job gets done. What's not to love?!Right.. some of these old timers you can’t just get them to change there ways! But I am slowly and I mean very very slowly! Lmao
Oh, I was definitely being sarcastic. In my still relatively limited experience, I would take a twelve strand over a three all day for that beat-it-up type all-purpose rope, though I am curious to hear why treemaster stays in your quiver? Some things.
I beat my Treemaster routinely. Very durable.
Bad for speed lines. Bad for rotating under load.
Takes breaking in well for good knotting.
No thanks I’ve done enough of natural crotch rigging.. I got used to using rigging rings and love them but my boss wants a pulley so I just ordered it. So going to close this out and I’m sure a great pulley will come along shortly. I always miss the good deals.!
Just a thought, buy some 9/16 atlas or the like instead of a big heavy block to take the 3-strand 3/4 which has similar WLL and is half the weight.my boss doesn’t use 5/8s either 1/2 or 3/4 inch
I've glazed true blue with a heavy speedline on a biner.Oh, I was definitely being sarcastic. In my still relatively limited experience, I would take a twelve strand over a three all day for that beat-it-up type all-purpose rope, though I am curious to hear why treemaster stays in your quiver?
Yup that’s why he won’t change at that aspect. You can buy a whole roll of my 3 strands for the same price as a 200ft rope. He definitely won’t do that but atleast I got him to start using a block and rigging ringsIt's cheap and the job gets done. What's not to love?!
Wish I could but my boss won’t use anything but 3 strand. I’d have to buy it myself. I have my own double braid rigging ropes but I use those for my jobs, I don’t want to waste them at work and not get anything for it but a worn out rope! Just takes more outta my pocket.Just a thought, buy some 9/16 atlas or the like instead of a big heavy block to take the 3-strand 3/4 which has similar WLL and is half the weight.
Your good brother.. yeah I got the 3/4 isc block and a 3/4 dead eye sling. For $310. Not bad at all plus my boss is paying for it. He just don’t do all that online shopping or Amazon lolSorry for derailing your thread bruv, hope you get what you want. Cheers
