Dead Euc crane job 55t Terex.

You in Australia? Must be the same regs as in New Zealand. You cannot hang off the crane. In this case, it makes no sense. Climb a complexity dead tree, that is unsafe. But not tie into a perfectly safe large crane sitting next to tree. I never understood it. But, I never understood lots of things from DOWN UNDRR!!
Really stellar job though mate, considering how dead the tree was.

I like the big truck to haul away the tree. Awesome footage.
Cheers Bixler, the truck was from a demo/ earth moving company whom we had worked with before, Daniel is 2nd gen Marshalls earthmover, great bloke. filled that 20tn dumper 5 times all told.
job worked out nice with the crane possie and truck able to back in and out with still enough room to play with, phew.
only real problem was accurate guesstimate on the balance of the picks being tricker ( got my saw stuck solid on that second top :rayos:).

how much where you pushing for the last two pieces? , sweet vid mate .
hows the new rope going?
thank you very much, the final two pieces were 2tn and 5tn respectively, crane rigger did not want to exceed 5tn on the lift so I decided to split the load and risk the angry turtle but he was just a little pissed thankfully. first trunk went in at 5tn and filled most of the back of the truck when it was laid out with the hoist well.
new rope is rocking cheers sterling tendril from treestuFF.:sorprendido3:

G'day Royce, yeh guilty as charged your honour I be a son of Oz. and yep no ride the hooky, I mean seriously Booooooooooo.
get envious when I see all my fine brothers and sisters o/s riding in all la de la like the charge of the light horse on the hook and pow they are there tying on 2 seconds flat. anyhow thats the biz and thank you for the compliment, we got pulled off that job 3 years ago by the local council so yes they were well cooked little trees.
