De-Christmas Lighting a Norway Spruce

This was a pretty interesting little job, about an eighty foot Norway Spruce with more lights on it than you would believe. Nearly every limb had lights zip tied all the way to the tip. The zip ties were starting to girdle the limbs. It must have taken a week to install. It took us with a climber and a bucket nearly all day to remove them.

They were intended to be permanent? Bummer.
We leave'em in rhe post oak from November to February. We couldn't get them out until after bud break this year because of weather so we cut them out rather than recovering the strands intact... It was delicate work.
25' bamboo poles with hooks make it a lot easier to drape and lift the wires.

Did an arborist install these lights? How did they get that high on the tips with zip ties? a hydro friend with a bucket truck? A gnargly homeowner playing with liqour and ladders?
