Customers sign contracts?

I suppose there are no good reasons not to have a signed contract. I started this thread because we never asked for signed contracts where I used to work and now that I own my company, I figure it might be something I want to start doing but I was not sure extactly how to go about it. I guess my first step is to call a lawyer.... man do I hate lawyers.

Add the word CONTRACT to the top of your estimate forms, right next to the word estimate. Put the fine print on the back of every estimate, even carbon copies. Put a spot on the bottom to sign and date the estimate/contract.

This allows the customer to know that they are signing a contract, and makes you seem more professional than you already are. Win-win!
