Current 70 cc Class Saw Quality

My understanding of a 400 is that it is a replacement of a 261 and a 362 buying more time before having to pull up something in the 461 class when working spars.
I’m not sure what that class is in husky numbers.

Seems moot. Just lift the damn saw. Don't see Reg complaining.....

Sadly I am just a guy who doesn’t know what I don’t know, and probably won’t know what i don't know until I do know. I should probably go “educate myself” on all things pertaining to the operation and maintenance of chainsaws.

And I think you missed the part where I said I want a 400?
Haha I think you’re a pretty funny dude the more I think about it. And you completely missed my point. Only you know what’s best for you. If that’s a 572 with a 32” bar then more power to you. And only I know what’s best for me. A 572 with a 32” bar won’t work well here. All we can do is speak to what we know. If you’re already running mostly Husky stuff you might be better off with the new version of the 562 vs. the 400 because of bar compatibility.

THe US simply do not have true hardwoods. Even oak, walnut and cherry are softwoods compared to Casaurina, Pride of India or Lignum Vitae. I tried the whole lightbar setup and those bars would heat up so much and cause resin to cake on them binding chains....I would clean them up and try again.....same rasshole....dumped them quick....stihl reg bars are great. The woes of real hardwoods.
Completely agree. Anything we have here is nothing compared to something like Brazilian Teak. You have any of that down there Paul? I tried to work some for a woodworking project once and that shit was super hard!

I had a friend from Australia come cut with me and he laughed at everything but our hickory. Said it was getting close to not being a soft wood.

No Teak. Unfortunately. I have a table made of the stuff. Was given to me from a Client. My second one given to me because it is all faded. The thing will last forever. Some labour and the damn thing will look like new. I left it as is. I like old and weathered. Have done a fair bit of cutting in the US, wood cuts sweetly.

Teak is beautiful wood that’s an awesome gift for sure. I like the weathered look too. I remember cutting down south for hurricane clean up in the Southern Alabama Florida panhandle area. I thought man this sure is some easy cutting wood down here. Until I ran into some pecan. That’s some pretty tough stuff, but I guess it’s all relative. It’s the hardest you’ve cut until you run into something harder.

"It’s the hardest you’ve cut until you run into something harder."
"Sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know until you do."

Do you torment your crew with stuff? I would last about two hours working with you before I told you to F.O. and don't talk to me.

No, a few more posts and I will have enough lines for another bad Steven Seagal movie.
Look bud you don’t agree with what I have to say that’s fine. It’s your prerogative. We aren’t all going to agree all the time. But personal attacks because you don’t agree aren’t cool. If you’ve got a problem with me personally I’d say the ignore button is your best bet. Have a happy new year and maybe double up on the blood pressure meds and relax dude.
