Curious what you guys think of my "shorty buries" on tails of my Ultraslings :) (Pic in-thread to illustrate!)

TL;DR-- Hoping for "nice" / constructive criticism on my short-tail Ultra's, I uploaded a pic to Media here:

So of course I could have made such slings with longer tails/buries, and shorter usable-lengths, **as-advised** for such splices....

BUT, and someone PLEASE correct me if I'm mistaken, but is it not true that the final bury on an Ultra has ZERO bearing on the strength of that final pocket, right?? If so, then this post-brummels "final bury" is a prophylactic/preventative undertaking, like lock-stiching/whipping, but has little-to-no effect on breaking-strength of thatt final pocket.

The TRex sling has a short bury, obviously I took the idea even further w/ the Safebloc's 3/4" TEC, these are - **of course** - lock-stitched, and I actually am almost-always on top of checking my ropes EVERY use, so no-load-displacement of one of these Ultra's would NOT mean mid-usage failure!! It'd mean I'd notice the lil-bury having issue, and I'd address it!

Wanted to get others' eyes on this type of Ultra finishing, I don't see myself doing anything-but this on future slings (which'll probably be t-rex, I wanna support Samson all I can but the t-rex coating is totally my preference here!!) Should note that I've never ever dumped heavy weight into these last pockets w/ the shory buries after the sling's last 3 brummels*, not because I'm afraid to or anything I just haven't had the chance yet, I have used it - by wrapping the sling tail around a branch/crotch *twice* (haven't used either on something wide-enough to require last-position on either and I bring these 2 ultra's to almost every job!

Thanks for constructive feedback, and no I have not / would not "push" these last pockets in a scenario with targets (I rig almost everytthing whether I have to or not!!), *not until* I've actually shock-loaded them and verified they take a beating w/o transferring any irregularitty to that final bury/tail, hopefully will find a good testing-opporunity sooner than later, as said I ALWAYS have them they are so damn useful far better than ANY others I've had/made!!

a close-up of the shorter one, again this has a TON of lock-stitching, and (obviously!) ends w/ tape securing the true-end!

A lock brummel alone reduces the break strength by fifty percent, a third pass may increase this. The longer the bury after it increases the strength. If able to bury two fid lengths for polyester than a locked brummel is no longer helping, but decreasing the strength.
