Does anyone have any real world experience with this rig rope? Not much beta on the internet. Is it dumb to not replace my stable braid with more stable braid?…..

I've been using Maona half inch for a year now. Seems to twist a bit less than stable braid. But it feels like it has a little more elongation. But that might just be in my head. The 12mm sure feels fatter than it says. Nice in the hand, stays supple. I like it a lot.

annoying to splice (very baggy and the core will migrate out of the throat if you‘re not overburrying) and 12mm is more like 14mm which might not matter for most.
I got to look at some all gear ropes in a store and thought that they all looked enormous. I am glad I'm not the only one

I used the 14mm for a bit which measured a little bigger than a 16mm rope- approx 17mm. It was a bit frustrating because I wasn’t able to use some of my gear with it which otherwise would have worked with a 14mm. I got 300’ to use for double whip tackle, couldn’t use it for that. Since it’s WLL doesn’t match a bull rope, didn’t use it for fat wood either. Kinda useless

It’s very soft… and while it is huge, it’s fairly light, so whipping it around a trunk was actually a little harder, if that makes sense. Not as easy to tie as some.

Sirius is still my favorite rig line and would replace that until no longer available.
