any climber knows when doing crane work its a combination of climbers kwowhow but more im portantly knowledge of crane operator.a crane operator who has only lifted pallets,beams or any thing pre weighted and no tree experience is a liability on a tree site. a crane operator who knows his crain and can menouver loads as they move or as the break away from source is handy.a lot more valuable/efficient than a climber who wants to take big hits for the sake of it .big hits might look good but taking the same hit in 2 or more hits is easier to process.as a climber i dont go home till the job is done so efficent hangs make sure climbers and groundies are all working efficiently and go home at the same time ,no one hanging around watching-just trying to make a buck!i'll pay well,but you gotta work!!!

Well, for us it was the first job Seamus. But there's a lot of trust there based on experience. Every day is different, and both of us have done the give and take on different days, in different weather conditions, with different sized cranes, with different operators.
