Cool rake alert...

I found this rake in my favorite, real, live, honest to God hardware store... for $6.00. It's perfect for me since I show up on a job in a Volvo wagon full gear and a full size rake is really a space/organizational problem.

I'm not raving yet, I just got it an hour ago... but IT IS A RAKE after all, a tool near and dear to all our hearts.

It's called, 'The Original Expand-a-rake'.

I'll report back after my son gives it the torture test tomorrow.

if its anything like the one i had you'll find those tines are going to expand-a-part

Looks like a fire rake, for wild land fire fighting. While on stand by we had to rake the fire stations lawn with them. They sucked on the lawn, but did the job. Although hell, for 6 bucks would be nice to be able to just keep where ever.

I've had a few of those. They can't really be used with the tines fully opened out, they won't last! Half open is ok. They are good for raking hedge trimmings etc from around shrubs where a normal rake would be to big.

If the clamp band, that holds the tines at your desired width setting, is plastic then it won't last as long as if it were metal.
