So do you leave them there for the customer, take them, run them through the chipper?

I've seen coconut palms but never worked on them. Do chippers even handle the coconuts or do they just roll around in the infeed chute never to be sucked through.

Do you throw them at each other on a job site like we do with ripe apples? I would.

I find palm trees very interesting and i'm sure most of you find them super boring.

nah we haul the fronds and seeds/pods. we leve the coconuts for the customer if they want us to, if not then we just haul the ones we dont want to eat and bring them to green waste where it gets recycled into organic mulch along with all the green waste on this island.

Apples are good, but walnuts cut through the air like a hot knife through butter.

Yikes- that would hurt getting pegged by a walnut.

I like the spikey balls from liquidambar. They don't fly fast and are fun to just drop from the tree. If you can get a direct hit on the back of the neck from 30' up, it won't hurt 'em but they react funny!

But then you get pelted when you come back to the ground...
