contract climbing pay

aint no union here in Oz to be scabbing at, we are lower than garbage collectors over here at least they get union protection.
I provide a service to companies who cannot afford to have a full time climber on staff or who's climber is not up to the particular job for what ever reason or because I am so well equipped and experienced that I will smash the job out faster and Safer than my competitors, end of story.

SCAB? how bout harden the fuck up and justify Your existence Cashmoneytreeboy next time check your facts first boy and then grow a pair.

He hasn't said anything since. Maybe 'They' pulled his access. If so, good.
Was he banned or did he just stay away for a while?

These are prices for fully licensed, bonded, and insured subcontractors in the Portland area: $35-40/hr for a great climber with only climbing gear or for a good climber with some gear; $50/hr for great climber with substantial gear; $65/hr for super productive great climber with substantial gear; $85/hr for super productive great climber with substantial gear and a dump truck. A lot of tree services cannot afford to pay the higher rates and I think for these upper tier rates, the climber needs to establish themselves with a number of tree services and demonstrate exemplary integrity and capability. Hope this helps.
When you say "substantial gear", do you mean rigging gear, or chainsaw gear, or both?
