Looks like you had a good ground guy running the rope.

Its nice to see video's from the big guys. Did you guys throw the brush off the deck and have someone down by the chipper chipping it up?

Thank you guys!!
Yeah, I had the best guy on the rope, he is actually a really good climber.
Jman, yes we did threw all the brush off the deck and for all the wood we
Remove a section of the wire net and push the pieces off the deck as well

at 44 sec it looks like your lanyard is close to the block, but i know camera angle distorts things.

I like one support above the block sling and one below it. (lanyard and climbing line). But that's me and not every time that's for sure.

That's not 1/2" high-v climbing line for the rigging line, is it? Don't really see the white stripes.

I wondered, if you left a 25 foot stalk on the tree by the road, you could have used it as an anchor point for a speedline, to drift the lowered material to the deck without the groundperson having to struggle.

Was the tree struck by lightning years ago, or was it a girdling root?

Real nice verde, muchos gracias. I had to wait two weeks for part two! Looked like a pretty fun project. Very nice job falling that trunk.

Funny you mentioned that X, I had my eye on that telephone pole for the anchor.

Thanks, Ne Tree.
Xman, most of the time I prefer using both of my connecting points above the block, I don't really know why I had my lanyard below the block especially when there was plenty room for it.
About the stalk that we left by right side of the deck, we thought a speed line would work but It did not give us enough clearance for the rail of the deck, besides all the brush would have made it by the steps close to the house, by uneven ground.
The tree was sold for 32 man hours it only took us 3 hous each to put it on the ground, so I don't think they were struggling, actually we did very good!
And yes, the tree was struck by lighting many years ago
Btw I got your Rigging rings on my Christmas list! Nice job!
Bixler, thanks for waiting!!

TrEeVeRdE,

Thanks for the nice reply.

I'm sorry i became one of those guys that looked closely at a video and made a list of stuff; like I know what was going on by seeing through the camera.

I was in a real confrontation mood last night after I had watch a different video before yours. Plus it was Friday night.

I'm just glad I didn't word things ignorant towards you.

When I was talking about a tree for an anchor point, I was talking about the stump by the road that was in-line with your deck you were lowering onto. Not the stalk that was visible to the right. The stump looked fresh and looked like it was a big tree.

32 man hours! Wow! I'm suprized the customer accepted that price.

You guys were fast.

Please keep putting up more video. Nice job.

No worries XMan,
I know what do you mean, it can be frustrating sometimes watching some videos, specially on a Friday night!
That tree by the stonewall would have not work cause it was leaning towards the construction site and we would damage the chimney of the house.
The rigging rope was 9/16" not 1/2" climbing line :)
Thanks for watching!!
