Cocoon Pulley

Has anybody used the cocoon pulley available in the 2007 Sherrill catalog? It is placed on the page next to the rope guide and I am wondering if it is removable from the ground, and, if anyone has used one for an inline friction saver (secret weapon) backed up with another prusik above it. I am interested in making a rope guide that doesn't have the expensive mechanical devices, but still has some of the friction-reducing qualities that it has to offer. Any input would be great appreciated...

I know, but it's about 100$ cheaper than the rope guide and I have nice long friction saver made of blue streak in my bag that would seem to work perfectly in the same capacities as the RG,if it's retrievalbe from the ground...

You can get the pulley that is on the rope guide for $72. It is pretty much the same pulley. If you are interested let me know and I can put you in touch with the guy that sells them.

Happyclimbing, check your PMs!

Tom, it's page 19. It's the swivel ART pulley....it's been out for a while now. I'll see if I can find a pic.

....okay, I can't find one. I think maybe there was one posted at the tree house a while ago.

If it doesn't show up by the time I get home tonight, I'll scan it from the catalog. On the Sherrill website you get "photo not available" or something like that.
