CMI swivel

I ordered one of those big California swivels from CMI when I saw the sale price (basically approx. half price) and it came in today. Wow, big it certainly is. For anyone worried about a swivel being the weak link in the gear chain, this is the swivel for you! And I like the nice big wide heavy duty eye for the bridge rope. The eye is large enough for a webbing bridge as well. It would take forever to wear it to any appreciable degree. Undoubtedly, the weight of the thing on my bridge will take some getting used to.

It wears my bridges a little faster than a ring, but I still love it. Just something to keep in mind

It is tough on rope bridge jackets. Webbing is probably pretty sweet, I’ll need to try it again on my new webbing bridge.
