Climbing saw

I know this is the climbing forum and not the chainsaw forum but I was wondering if anyone was climbing with the Jonsered 35 saw. I know Norm was trying out the dolmar but it the Jonsered looks like a good saw and I have the opportunity to purchase one fairly cheap and I know was taken care of as its from a friend of the family who restores old chainsaws and has a few on his mantle and even has an old 090. But back to the question so does anyone have any feedback from climbing with the Jonsered 35?

I myself, didn't care for the 2135, I demoed a 2135 and wasn't very impressed. I felt it didn't have enough power, and it wasn't well balanced.
I like Stihl's MS200T for climbing. The MS200T is well balanced and a little lighter.

In the chainsaw world, just because it has a certain brand on the covers and is painted a certain company color sceme, doesn't mean that company made it.
The saw manufacturer's all buy cheap chinese junk and relabel it. This is a good example. Pull off the covers and you have an Echo, Redmax, Dolmar, Tanaka, 34cc top handled saw.
Not a horrible saw, but under powered, cheap, and parts are hard to get. It motor has reed valves, which suck for chainsaws, where we run at high RPMs and in a dirty environment.
The low quality white metal is pourous and inconsistant, and with that comes problems.

I have one of these saws I use it for cutting kindling.

Nothing, not even the husqvarna 338xp gets as close a shave as the Stihl MS200T......Thank you Stihl for being so sensible and designing and making these saws.

But stop getting some of your carburettors made in China! They suck!
