The Central Park Conservancy (the not-for-profit organization that manages Central Park under contract with the City of New York) has an opening on the in-house tree crew. The duties and requirements of a Tree Climber/Pruner include: operating an ariel bucket truck, climbing with a rope and saddle, pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, pest monitoring, operating truck & chipper, emergency storm response, special events, snow removal and equipment maintenance. ISA Certified Arborists and CDL drivers are highly preferred. Regular 40 hour work week plus flexible overtime availability necessary.
