I bought all this stuff when I first started climbing and got the bug. It’s all been taking care of and stored in a nice box that was in my old apartment had to move out life goes on and just can convince myself to hold on to it any longer. I’ve done enough exchanges here on the buzz and if you check my history I’m a reg dude but if concerned and someone actually wants to buy we can FaceTime or whatever works for you to verify I’m a real person.
Thanks all

I’m assuming you’ve ran a rope runner can you give some insight to an akimbo? I normally run a wrench which works out fine but the compact nature and eazy on off of the akimbo are becoming increasingly attractive I just hear there quite temperamental and I’ve also heard rope runner can be more forgiving if that makes senseHaha, no, thanks mr. Swing. I was just wondering. And I guessed way low. I guessed you had 7! I’m pretty happy with my akimbo. And I have one wrench I break out occasionally. Great tool for sure. And thanks Jack.
I have never tried an akimbo. Only SRT I have never tried. Must try soon. It will have to be black though. My setup on the wrench has zero sitback, most comp climbers ride a wrench so there is a reason. It is fast and precise and very reliable. You can get up and pull out a new hitchcord { ask me how many I own } and match it to most ropes by after a few minutes it will be dialed in easy peasy. No moving parts like a mechanical. I dig the pros of mechanicals but truly favor rope on rope as it is the perfect combo for me. Love me some textiles. lol.Yes to all of that. I put up with it sometimes being less than the perfect feel , like sometimes it’s a bit too fast, creeps when loaded or it’s a little slow, harder to release, but the on /off speed is a big plus in my book as I’ll sometimes take it off the rope to redirect over something out of my reach. And then there’s days where it’s adjusted perfect. I also like the no sit back compared to a wrench.
Maybe I’ll fool around with some diff hitch cords I think my problem is I’m limited in my configurations cause I run the small Caralink tether I don’t like the traditional longer tethers but I’m pretty sure the inability to get more creative with myI have never tried an akimbo. @Njdelaney took the blaze out today to stretch/milk any jacket off of it…. Unlike all my other Yale ropes, there was literally no jacket to come off…. In your experience is this how the 11mm blaze is? All my other moon varieties, confetti, and arrow frogs have had a lot of jacket sag. Don’t get me wrong, this not a bad quality at all, it’s just foreign to me.I'm glad he's buying it so I don't have to. I've really come to like Blaze. Super light, great with hitches, low stretch.
Seems like whomever purchased that line originally just took incredible care of it@Njdelaney took the blaze out today to stretch/milk any jacket off of it…. Haha. No complaints here at all!!! Every 24 strand Yale I’ve had(I’ve had lots) has excessive amounts of “slop” in the core/jacket interface. Blue moon, poison moon, confetti black, arrow frog etc…. all had 12-20” of jacket milked off the ends….. The Blaze zero, it’s great!Seems like whomever purchased that line originally just took incredible care of it
Lol I’m just trying to be funny Im curious are you going to mainly srs or double rope with that line? Mechanicals or hitch? I don’t think I ever gave smaller lines enough respectHaha. I got a 100' piece from a member here and was only able to milk about 6" off of it after a couple climbs and about 3 passes with a prusik and biner, so similar. This piece was a few years old, had a spliced eye at one end and was very lightly used so that is my only experience. Less milked off than I expected for sure.@Njdelaney took the blaze out today to stretch/milk any jacket off of it…. Unlike all my other Yale ropes, there was literally no jacket to come off….
