Charlotte TCC's can of worms

I've done that when doing rec climbs with multiple climbers. I think one time I had 8 ropes anchored to one choked strap. This allowed everyone to ascend at roughly the same time.

Base anchors are an accepted technique. They can be built and inspected before a climber ascends. I would like to hear a replay of the meeting where this decision was made. What's the justification?

It was a great comp. Learned a lot. They ended up just strongly encouraging branch protection on basal anchors and redirects. A practice that I have gotten lazy at during work. I will work on being more diligent about in the future
