anyone use or have tried cevian unicore rope? I don't think ive ever heard of anyone using it on here but wesspur sells it and niceguy dave seems to like it. they list it at 11mm and when I look it up other sites list it at 11.5mm so im curious now.

I've been climbing on it for the last couple months (though not a ton of climbing) and love it. Great hand, no milking, runs fantastic with 8mm armor prus and a hitch hiker. I'm sold. I have a 300 foot length which honestly doesn't come out of the truck that often, and I'd totally get a shorter length to use more regularly. I've climbed on velocity, escalator, poison ivy, htp static, the fly, among others, and I think the cervian is a great combination of good hand, the right amount of stretch (not too bouncy, but it has way more give than something like HTP or escalator). If you get some I'd be curious to hear what you think, as I don't know of anyone (other than Dave) who's been working on it.

It's definitely not 11.5 more like 10.7 to 11mm. It ties well and weights light. Great for tall srt climbs, I agree with Crosstrees it's not bouncy but still has give. It's comfortable to grasp but still is a little thin so it feels best with some grippy gloves. It works with the wrench but a little too narrow for the runner, you can close the bird up but then it's a little too tight, you loose the range the sweet spot would have been.

Thanks for the good information. The unicore technology is definitely appealing, but sounds like I'll stick with double braids
