We have a couple of those where I grew up in Atlanta Ga. The funny part is they are twice as tall as any other tree close by so they kinda stick out like a sore thumb. They do look better than the standard tower though
In south Florida they work because they're supposed to look like Norfolk Island Pines... Which are inexplicably all over down there.
Here in NC, they just look stupid.
My kids call them Frankentrees. Some look awesome, others pretty lame. We like to "grade" them as we travel around. NJ has some pretty awesome ones as does NH. NY is coming along but they have some pretty fugly ones.
There was a big one in Philly that we saw when we went to instruct the splicing symposium. At first, Josh Jump thought it really was a pine! Loked pretty cool, i was impressed.
