Thanks for the comments!

Yeah Jason, I'm always up for a rec climb.

Jimmy, the guy with the beard is my long lost cousin from Austria...
Tejlor Hamelberger!

To those who already have a CE lanyard, what is the rope used and what is it most similar to, if not avilable in the states. I have a pinto, a couple of DMM thimbles and plenty of carabiners laying around and dont want to waste them. Could do with a new rope for my lanyard though.

The rope is Teufelberger's Sirius in ~11mm. Doesn't resemble anything else I have used in that diameter. You can order just the Sirius itself as a replacement part. However, while you're at it, you'll also need the 8mm OP e2e sewn specifically for CElanyard. Nothing else works in the same way.

That's the way that I see it too Taylor. Teufelberger, New England Ropes, Treemagineers, and DMMM have obviously worked very closely together to produce this lanyard. I can’t say enough good things about it…been climbing on it since it first arrived here in the States. I’m sure that climbers could set up their own variation of a CElanyard, especially if they have extra hardware lying around, but the engineering that went into the lanyard is really awesome!

One thing that I may play around with (and Taylor, I was going to ask you about this) is switching out the Distel hitch and using a VT in its place instead. The Distel just seems to be a little too grabby for me. Has anyone tried a VT on it yet?

Yeah, it looks like I am going to buy the whole thing.
Taylor thanks and no thanks for these videos that make me want to upgrade to new stuff. You have to hand it to Treemagineers/Teufelberger/DMM, you are never disappointed with their products. Good quality and well thought out.

Why do you say that? I have created a poison ivy lanyard with the pinto with Samson ultra tech cord (tied in a distel) as the friction chord and have a ultra tech cord eye to eye spliced to a dmm ring in place of the thimbled cord of the CElanyrd. The pinto and adjuster are on a Petzl william ball lock and the ISC captive eye snap is on both ends. What am I missing? Pics soon.
