I don’t think they dropped the rating, it now covers all the countries where it is sold, not just in Europe, thus the need to change the name. The CE and the hipSTAR Flex lanyards seem to be almost totally different. The new one has a 7mm Ocean Dyneema thimble Prusik now. The lanyard ropes are different, which might have happened before the name change.
Cutting off their eye and doing your own would certainly void the CE cert., not that it matters here in the Wild West.
Also, Robline recently dropped the FSE from their name.
Here’s a 8 ft piece of dynamic rope that had the core pulled out and the cover milked back. It was too stiff before, better after not being packed so full. Probably not so dynamic now, though.

Son of a gun.. look at that.. it's a 4 strand carrier.. Remember what i was saying in the other thread, how the peice of cordage i have is a dual strand?
However, beyond the CE, ratings, the cover, etc.. what is on the inside? You mentioned the CE vs Vs Hipstar lanyards themselves seem to be different ropes.. what are you seeing?
Regardless,
Can either be spliced by traditional hand methods or not? We're they a double b or parallel? We're they indeed the linked Sirius page way above.. i want them to be, but don't think they are.. I do however, believe the cover of it is being used & they're may possibly be a change up in carrier strands when u go to the 12mm. T-berg sometimes does this without mention. Like their Epicord, the 8mm cover strands are different than that of the 9.3mm & 10mm..
Without getting to far into the sticks here, as long as it's been available, hasn't the 7mm Loop T always been an option or interchangable with the Ce CeLanyard? Doesn't it also ride on the smaller "Fimble Climb" & Pullysaver?
Not for nothing but if you look at all the safety ratings in there, i wonder if there's some literature in there stating "Cordage's meeting this rating must be" =
of braided core
of paralell core
That would definatley help figure out what's in there.
It's interesting too note, that you think the ropes are two different cordage's, i see differences in cores, everything with the names change, But they are still calling it 11 Sirius.. Not Sirius Bull rope, Not Sirus 550, Or any other version... Just "Sirius".....
"Hey! Why so serious?"..lol
{Ok.. i see what your talking about with the core on that dynamic rope, interesting trick, i like it..(for clarity to others, the first half of this convo/pic reference started in another thread)}.
