CDL/log truck question

I have a CDL,Class B with X endorsement. I was told I can't drive a lot truck with that, which makes no sense, it's a straight truck, no trailer, over 26,001, all of which fall under a CDL B from what I always knew/ can remember. It's more of settling a point between two of us.

X is for tanker and hazmat correct?

You can drive it, even if you slap a flammable sticker on it you are still covered haha

The only ways I can think of are if it has air brakes and you don't have that endorsement, or it's a standard transmission and you have that restriction. Otherwise, you're good to go.

What are you referring to as a lot truck? If u have a class b with air and hazmat you should be able to drive pretty much any straight truck....

I said log truck, straight truck. Just getting the a lot of " experts " telling me I need an A to drive one
Maybe u meant log truck but you wrote lot. You don't need an a for a straight log truck. Unless they are DOT I'd tell them to stick to something they actually may know facts on.

Not only can you drive any straight truck up to a million billion pounds, with the proper overweight permits, ofcoarse. You can even put a 10k pound trailer behind it to boot.
