Hey guys and gals. Kinda just shooting this out there as more of a reminder than anything else to keep tabs on your
Body, especially your skin.
Last week I went in to get a physical because I have recently signed up for aflac and they give you 60$ for a wellness check. As I was there, the doctor noticed a dark, miss shapen mole and removed part of it to be biopsied. I waited a week then got the news that the mole is cancerous. I went back in a few days ago, had the rest of it removed along with some surrounding tissue samples to see if it has spread. I've also had some blood work done. I'll know more some time this week.
It's a good thing I went in and got myself checked out. The only part that scares me is that I have absolutely no recollection of when the mole went AWOL on me and became cancerous. The odd part is, I always wear sun screen (mostly because it makes me smell absolutely irresistible) and I actually wear shooting sleeves just like NBA players wear to help protect my ink and skin from harmful UV rays (dip those bad boys in ice water and it'll keep you cool for almost two hours!)
I'm all but positive that I'll be okay, the test results will come back fine and if the doctor has any bad news it'll be that I'm entirely too good looking for my own good.
