can you use a stock stihl 192 to cut ice?

would it be terrible to cut through ice using an unmodified stihl 192? i thought the water might be bad for it, but then again i use it in the rain/snow so maybe not. are there special chains for use with ice? any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sure so long as the bar is long enough. Just keep an eye on the water around the carb. Chain doesnt need to be that sharp really, its only ice.
