What kind of problem do you think the tree is causing? My guess would be Juglans californica.

With that sickle-shaped compound leaf structure, I believe its a pecan.

It could be some sort of nut tree. I know that if you throw a burlap bag full of black walnut fruit pods while they are still green, into a pond it will kill all the fish. As the green hulls begin to deteriorate it creates a chemical process that sucks all the oxygen out of the water, thus killing your fish. On a smaller scale, you know maybe a single tree dropping a few hulls into the water it may be problematic on various levels each causing more or less fish to die
