Buckingham Throttle SRS

Been climbing on the throttle for About 6 months now. At first I had the same issue what I found works pressing out and down in an almost arc direction. This technique made it a usable device in my opinion.

I have been on the Throttle for a couple of weeks now. It is difficult to get moving fully loaded in SRS and has the potential to go into free fall and does not go into an all stop when hands are taken off. In MRS it is difficult to pull slack without getting your finger physically on the locked up cam. Also in MRS it is hard to get moving when you are up near the tie in point and on spurs. I can fully collapse the device and nothing happens. I have figured out how to make it "work" but the extra effort makes it really not worth it, even after the price drop.

Hope this feedback helps anyone thinking about it. Also, I weigh about 225 lbs.

Yeah to be honest when I first got it I was really bummed about it’s performance ( especially when akimbo 2 came out and cheaper) ended up flying hitch for another month or two until I forced myself to figure it out. I love it now don’t give up. But I bet this one will fade into the background especially after seeing that new isc device I feel like if that thing works as advertised it’s going to change everything.

Yes, I want to get my hands on the ISC Reflex. I really love the zig zag for MRS and SRS and have satisfactorily found work arounds for the non midline attachable aspect of it. I picked one up from Amazon awhile ago for $225, they hovered around $280-$290 and are at $320 now. I checked the serial number against the recall numbers and mine was made in November 2024, well past the recall.

Thanks for replying. If you have any more tips or tricks for the Throttle, I am interested.
