Saw it for a good deal so bought with intent to sell on eBay.... that is until i just got lost for an hour or so within their fees & legal jargon.. mingya, felt like i was about to proceed with signing a bill into Congress..
If it don't sell, no biggie, I'll just keep it.

Not sure what to ask for it.. retail is rather pricey.. I'll post a price in a few, just wanted to get this posted.

Definatley an interesting adjuster though, haven't tried it yet.

Shipping included to lower 48 only OR wherever a small flat rate box will cover.

Wow, your not joking about the price man, 568$$ on Buckinghams site! I really like it. Would love to give it a try myself but that price is no joke.

I thought the same thing, but the Cinch doesn’t have a cam lever. The whole body of the device rotates and becomes the cam. (You probably already knew that. I’m just thinking aloud).

I hope you did not pay that. The cordage and garbage snap is worth maybe 60 with sewn eyes. 500 for adjuster and biner. Ha ha ha.... get out of dodge.....

It really is.. it's fucking insane what they are retail at.. but obviously ppl are buying them at that price point otherwise they wouldn't be able to move them.. Maybe the price point reflects some sort of tower industry osha cert process they go through.. there is a gazillion certs written on it.. Who knows.. maybe it's just a new product.. I know I've seen the "buck squeeze" going for North of $900 & Full body harness as high as $1200.. I think sometimes these tower guys may have a limited range of products or manufacturers they can use & stay within overbearing osha regulation. Hence the extreme price points.

I'm just unsure whether or not to just keep it.. see what i can get for it here... or blow it out on eBay for 400-450 in the same section as the ones selling for full retail.

What don't you like about the snap, have you seen them first hand? It reminds me of the CT Shelter snap, but much beefier & with steel moving parts. I think the cordage's is similar to the stuff wesspur has called R.I.N.G., but larger than 10.5mm.

Trade possible?
Whatchya got? You live in the lower 48? I'm not even sure if theres anything I "need".. but I'm willing to entertain ideas.
Looks like Trango Cinch.
It does indeed.. but iirc, it is much different on the inside..
I'm not sure what to make of it.. someone said a rope grab that releases under load.. that's probably a good way to explain it.

Idk if youve ever seen them, but it's kinda like those screw mounted rope grabs for sailboats, except only one side has movement. In the pic below you'll see how instead of a typical rope grab channel, there is a ribbed chunck of aluminum at an angle. I believe this ads some amount of additional friction so when the body of the device hits that certain release angle, it doesn't get all jumpy..

Pics
Left side cam floats, no spring in there. Only spring is in lever. If I'm understanding correctly, the whole device rotates a releases..

That plastic bit trapping the rope in is a roller of sorts.

The cinch has a lever that is similar and probably serves the same function (release friction).
This looks likea hybrid device or the bastard child of a Cinch and Rope Grab.
Buckingham charges insane prices for their gear.
They cater to Power and Tower companies (big bucks) and they pay them prices.

Well if you can get 400-450 on e bay then you might as well do that... I can't match that. I appreciate you showing it to us

I have a Cinch and a Buckgrab, which is (obviously) a Buckingham version of a rope grab, but it has the biner attachment hole conveniently rotated 90 degrees so it matches up with our side D rings and doesn't require one of those twisted clevises or Dyneema adapters. It was a good upgrade from a traditional lanyard, but after a few years I really wanted the ability to release under load. Got a Petzl Grillon.

Good luck selling. Pretty interesting/unusual.
