bucket work?

I'll have to disagree with you there joshua, I may have a few extra pounds but I am certainly am no "old fat dude", I almost always have the bucket setup in perfect spot and have the job finished before I could have even had a throwball in, and I've usually done a far better job than I could have by climbing. For those of you who say that can't be done haven't mastered the bucket.

I have to agree!
38 years old here... 3 kids and happy wife, try to keep it that way. I like to schedule bucket jobs for Thursday and Friday - so I am not all beat up for my family time on Saturday... Climb like hell on Monday

...buckets have some old fat dude in the bucket all the time. i have never seen a young fit dude in the buckets.

This is a very ageist statement and not very kind to young or older bucketeers. I'm 57 and my waist size is one up from what I wore in college. I consider myself a climber but I haven't been on rope at work for a long time. Using a bucket, or lift in my case, when it is available or the best tool is smart.

Will anyone want to give up chainsaws and go back to using misery whips and manila rope?
