Bucket trucks and wind

When I worked in Chicago there was a limit on how high the winds could be before the bucket trucks got grounded. I believe it was 30 or 35mph.

Does anyone know if there is an ANSI or OSHA standard on this or is this up to the manufacturer of the bucket truck itself?

Call the aerial tower manufacturer to know for sure.

I doubt there's anything like that.An aerial lift doesn't catch much wind,i've been in one many times with winds over 30mph and I didn't have any reason to worry.Wind just isn't a factor in bucket truck rollover, unless were talking about hurricane force winds, but you wouldn't be working in that anyway(i hope).
