I am looking to replace my current non-over center, 55 ft. working height bucket truck with an over-center one. I am planning on buying a truck from the late 90's, early 2000's but was told by an equipment dealer that the manufacturers of over-center booms recommend retiring these units at 8 years. Because of this they only sell non-overcenter bucket trucks.
I would like to step up to an overcenter bucket truck but the newer ones are out of my price range. Thanks for the advice.
Your right, I'm looking for a rear mount. The truck I have now is a center mount on a 16' flatbed. Sets up quickly with 2 outriggers.
Tristate, so by all your lifts being "inspected" "Certified"your talking about replacing rods and drive cables and leveling cables on alc booms? Once there out of date? Per manufactures scheduled maintance? I'm only familiar with alc booms but I'm sure all brands have some rather expensive work
Needed done ever so often per mfg instructions all your booms have this done prior to selling?
